Juneau Superior Court and Criminal Cases
All Juneau criminal cases are filed in the First Judicial District. The Superior Court is located in the Dimond Court Building at 123 4th Street, Juneau, AK 99801. The main court phone number is (907) 463-4700. The Superior Court handles felony cases and serious criminal matters. The District Court, operating at the same address, covers misdemeanors and lower-level offenses. Court hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
For document copies, mail requests submitted to the Juneau court typically take 2 to 4 weeks. If you can visit in person, simple documents may be available more quickly depending on staff availability and workload. The Alaska court directory has full contact details for the Juneau courts and all other Alaska locations. Court forms, including the records request form, are available at courts.alaska.gov/forms. Standard copy fees apply statewide, with current rates listed at courts.alaska.gov/shc/courtfees.htm.

Juneau Police Department Records
The Juneau Police Department maintains records separate from the court system. JPD files include incident reports, arrest logs, and investigation documents. These are not available through CourtView. You must request them from JPD directly. The department is located at 6255 Alaway Avenue, Juneau, AK 99801. The non-emergency line is (907) 586-0600. The JPD website is at juneau.org/police. Written requests are accepted by the Records Division, and some records may also be accessible through the online request process.
JPD publishes a weekly active warrant list on its website. The list shows warrants from the past seven days and is updated on a regular schedule. This is a useful tool if you want to check whether a specific person has an outstanding warrant before going through the DPS system. The JPD list is local to Juneau. For statewide active warrants, check the Alaska State Troopers database separately.
When contacting the Records Division, include as much detail as possible: full names, dates, and any case or incident numbers. More specific requests are faster to process and less likely to generate a research fee.
The Juneau Police Department website has information on submitting records requests and accessing the weekly warrant list for the Juneau area.
