Anchorage Police Department Criminal Records

The Anchorage Police Department maintains records separate from the court system. APD records include incident reports, arrest logs, and investigation files. Police reports are not the same as court case records. You need to request them from APD directly through their Public Records Center. The primary method is an online request through the municipality's website. In-person and written requests are also accepted. The APD Records Division is at 4501 Elmore Road, Anchorage, AK 99507. For records questions, call (907) 786-8900 ext. 2. Customer service hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

APD requires specific consent forms in certain situations. If you are requesting records about yourself, you need to submit an Adult Consent Form. Records about your minor child require a Juvenile Consent Form. If you are requesting records about an incapacitated adult you have legal authority over, a Guardian Consent Form is needed. These forms are available through the online Public Records Center portal.

APD fee policy: requests estimated to cost between $40 and $250 require fee acceptance before processing begins. Requests over $250 require prepayment. Fees are based on research time and any redaction work needed. The online portal is accessible through anchoragepolice.com.

The Anchorage Police Department website is the main resource for requesting police reports and other APD records for the municipality.
